Instrument description:
This tester is suitable for testing the flammability of various textile materials:
Suitable for the determination of vertical flame spread properties of textiles of one or more components (coating, seam, multilayer, laminated products and similar combinations), curtain drapery and large tents including awnings and door covers;
Suitable for the determination of the burning time of textile fabrics with a fluffy surface (e.g. pile, wool, tufted or similar surface);
Suitable for all kinds of single or multi-layer (such as coating, quilting, sandwich and similar combinations) fabric vertical flammability test;
Test results can only be used to assess the combustion performance of materials or combinations of materials under laboratory controlled conditions. The test results are not applicable to the situation of insufficient oxygen supply or long heating time in the fire.
It is suitable for testing the vertical combustion characteristics of certain types of automotive interior materials, such as curtains, sunshades and/or other interior suspension materials for M3 vehicles carrying more than 22 passengers.
How it works:
Install the finished sample or material sample on the corresponding fixture of the instrument, burn the sample with the required flame for a certain time, record the relevant data (such as combustion time, combustion rate) for evaluating its combustion performance.
