           Raw cotton impurity analysis machine Test Tester testing 
 

1, Purpose and principle of work
     Used for testing the percentage of trash content of raw cotton, cotton lap and the fiber.
     This machine makes use of the difference of specific gravity between fiber and trash, after the combing, fiber separates from trash for the function of airflow and centrifugal force. It's approved the standard of GB/T6499-1992.
 2, Structure
     This machine make up of wallboard,feed device,licker-in, draft fan and driving device. All parts are a whole with two erection wallboard. Whole machine and driving part, electromotor and wiring all in cover.
    Feed roller is driven by special electromotor of low speed, can setup the feed speed by switch.
    There is lighting device in trash box, the lamp is low voltage and is 20W ( 24A). On panel of button, the red is stop button, and the green is start button.

4, driving mode (see figure 2)
     This machine is driven by single electromotor. The detail is as following:

5, Operation

• preparation before operation

     Inspect the rotating direction of electromotor, adjustment all gaps.
     Turn on the light, run for 1-2minutes, clean trash box, cleaning box and feed desk.
     Install feed board

• Operation method

     Close the forth and back door and place of wind-entering
     Teasing 50g, 100g of specimen, and lay on feed board and feed desk. If find cottonseed, unginned cotton and other big trash, should pick out, and record it.
     Press green button, after it runs normally, start the roller electromotor, feed the specimen between feed roller and feed desk with fingers, when the cotton fiber occurs in cleaning box, then can feed automatically, and can help it with hand during this procedure, if feed too fast, can pause the electromotor of roller, then restore normal speed.
      After it finishes, then press red button, the licker-in can stop. Turn off the roller electromotor at the same time.
     After the licker-in stop, take out the cleaned cotton of first time from cleaning box, and lay it between feed board and feed desk lengthways, have the second analyzing, then take out all the cleaned cotton.
     Turn off the machine and collect the trash on trash disk, include trash on walls of trash box, cross rail, feed board and feed desk. If have cotton lump, curly cotton and free fiber on trash disk, should remove the trash and pick it out.
     Weigh the trash collected and big trash, accuracy is 0.01g.
     Trash content is calculated as following:
        Trash content (%)=W/S×100.
             S:  weight of specimen (g)
             W:  weight of trash (g)
     When weigh the specimen and trash, the temperature and relative humidity of room should be stable.
6, Maintain and lubricate

• Before the running, should install the left and right side cover, for safe using.
• Should keep accuracy gap: Licker-in and mote knife, Licker-in and Flow-line board, Licker-in and feed desk.
• When wipe machine, not damage the parts.
• Before first running, should rotate the licker-in with hands, if have no abnormal sound, then runs.
• All cleaning work should be done after stop. If want to take out side cover, top cover or have an adjustment, should power off.
• Left and right flue should be cleaned periodically.
• If over 10 days to stop use, should pack the licker-in so as not to rust.
• When running, if have lots of fiber or cottonseed in licker-in, should stop feed, let the licker-in racing for 1-3 minutes. If not resolved, should stop and brush it.
• Butter in rolling bearing should be replaced every year.
• Hole of oil and all places of glide and abrasion should add machine oil every 2 or 3 days. But not too much for leaking.
• After working, should clean every part.

7, Cautions when moving,unpacking and installing

• When moving, running, should avoid impacting and shaking. And the wood box should be balanced and not upend at any conditions.
• Unpacking should be done indoors, the procedures is as following: first take apart the box lid, then the box wall. When unpacking, notice not to damage the machine.
• Put the machine on proper height and level platform and keep balanced.
• When machine has installed, take apart the left and right side cover, use cotton yarn to wipe off the antirust coating on V-belt pulley. When cleaning the licker-in, should first take apart the top cover, and then use normal hair brush and banana oil or gas to clean the antirust coating. When cleaning, should pack the mote knife and flow-line board, for fear that dirt the blade.
• When moving the machine, can take apart the left and right side cover first, then moving, and should be balanced.
• Before working, should read the manual and be familiar with the machine.

  8, Gap and other adjustment

• Feed desk and licker-in (See fig 3)

     Loosen the1, 2 bolts
     Loosen the 4, 5 bolts
     Adjust the 3 bolt
     Use the gap meter to adjust to asked gap and left and right side are the same.
 The 0206 (on left and right end of 0205) is close the circular arc face of 0201
     Screw down the 1, 2, 4, 5 .

• Mote knife and licker-in (See figure 3)

     Loosen the 6, 7 bolts
    Use the gap meter to adjust to asked gap and left and right side are the same.
     Screw down the 6, 7 bolts

• Loosen the 8, 9 bolts

     Use the gap meter to adjust to asked gap and left and right side are the same.
     Screw down the 8, 9 bolts

• Loosen the 1, 2 bolts

     Use the gap meter to adjust to asked gap and left and right side are the same.
     Screw down the 1, 2 bolts

• Board of airflow adjustment and Roller(See figure 4)

     Loosen the 1, 2 bolts
    Use the gap meter to adjust to asked gap and left and right side are the same.
     Screw down the 1, 2 bolts

• Adjustment of gripping force(See figure 3)

     Wrest the handle 10, clockwise for adding, contrariwise for reducing, adjust to proper place.

• Adjustment of degree of tightness of strap (See fig 1)

     Loosen the 19 bolt
     Press the 20 for tightness, contrariwise for loosening, adjust to proper place.
     Screw down the 19.

• Adjustment of wind(See fig 1)

     Generally, not install the wind adjustment.
 When adjust the wind, install adjustment cup (The diameter is relative with strength of wind)
9, Troubleshooting

2,Lots of free fiber in analyzing room	1,airflow is abnormal 2, front or back door is not close or other part of flue leaks 3, flue builds up	Affect the accrucy of result	1, close the front and back door 2, chock up the leaking parts. 3, open top cover, clean the top of halftone of collecting cotton. 4, adjust the tightness of strap, fan's speed keep 1210±50 rpm.
3, Big cotton lump falls in analyzing room	1,saw blade of licker-in is not sharp 2, raw cotton is not loosened and even.	Affect the results	1, make the saw blade sharp, or replace it. 2, loosen the raw cotton, and lay it evenly.
4, Flow-line board or mote knife has fiber	Flow-line board or mote knife is not lubricity, and is smeary or rusty.	Fiber is easy to fall in trash disk.	Make it lubricious and clean it, or electroplate it again.
5, worm wheel box of first order flops	Forelock between worm of first order and right axes of licker-in is loosened.	Improve the load of machine,affect the driving and damage the part of machine.	1, make the forelock tight 2, replace with new forelock.
6,The motor sounds abnormal and speed becomes low	The fuse of motor switch has problem.	Machine work abnormally.	Stop machine and power it off, make the fuse tight or replace it with new fuse
7, Speed becomes low	1,strap skid 2, machine parts run unhandily	Lost of free fiber in analyzing room.	1, adjust the tightness of strap. 2, maintaince periodicaly

10, Prompt
     This machine use three phases power supply of 380 V, for safety, it should:
1, the machine must connect to ground.
2, the resistance of connecting to ground is smaller or equal to 4Ω, and when machine is running or the licker-in is still rotating, can not put hand into the trash box.
